The preferred position for administration is lying on the left side with knees flexed or in a knee-chest position. The enema does not require warming and can be used at room temperature. To administer, remove the protective cap from the pre-lubricated rectal tube. Insert the tube gently, directing it towards the navel, and then slowly squeeze the bottle to empty the contents into the rectum. After the administration, it is advisable to maintain the body position until a strong urge to have a bowel movement is felt, which generally occurs within 2 to 5 minutes. It is important to note that it is not necessary to empty the unit completely; an extra amount of solution is included to accommodate any residual liquid that may remain in the bottle after squeezing. Following use, the unit should be discarded appropriately. Store the Fleet enema at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C, to ensure its efficacy. Always consult with a healthcare professional if you have any questions or concerns regarding its use. Related
